I managed to have a fairly dense “lunch” - I got a twin-pack of those Nature Valley crunchy granola bars. Being the peanut butter fiend I am, I got the peanut butter version even though it had an additional gram of fat. It was only 60¢ so I have a whopping 40¢ left over! Good grief. But those granola bars are very dense, so it will hopefully keep me going for the additional hour or two I have to be here. 2:37 pm § Permalink §

Today’s Update
I forgot my purse today, which made for a rather boring day at work. Specifically, I was unable to get lunch, and there was nobody to borrow money from.

Science is a great and glorious enterprise - the most successful, I argue, that human beings have ever engaged in. To reproach it for its inability to answer all the questions we should like to put to it is no more sensible than to reproach a railway locomotive for not flying or, in general, not performing any other operation for which it was not designed. by instructions to play backgammon
